Dear MS PHD'S 2011 Participants:

Congratulations and welcome to the 2011-2013 Minorities Striving and Pursuing Higher Degrees of Success in Earth System Science Professional Development Program (MS PHD'S PDP) Cohort VIII!

Phase I of the 2011-2013 MS PHD'S PDP will be held December 2-9, 2011 in conjunction with the American Geophysical Union (AGU) fall meeting in San Francisco, California. On this website you will find all the forms, instructions, and resources to prepare for this exciting journey! Please read each item carefully and complete as directed. The program will cover the costs of your airfare, lodging and meals. Our staff will arrange your airfare and lodging. All participants will stay at the Beresford Arms. As facilitators of this yearlong personal, academic and professional development experience, we are committed to your growth and success. In return we will require you to work hard, extend compassion and care to your cohort, and enjoy yourself in the process.

To begin, we will need you to complete the items listed to the right. Should you have questions, please email pdp@msphds.org.

Please note that it is important you meet all deadlines! Time is very limited and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to send you reminders. Please be conscientious and self-directed so that all items are completed correctly and within the deadlines. Please read instructions carefully.

All items with the exception of the Photo Release from should be emailed to pdp@msphds.org by the stated deadline. Original photo release forms should be printed, signed, and faxed to 207-563-6069, Attn: Leslie Fuller, Institute for Broadening Participation. You may also print, sign, scan and email the photo release to pdp@msphds.org.

Per Diem payments will be mailed to the address you provide on the Information/Travel/AGU Registration Form. For more information, please see the FAQ's section of the website.
